Through an IoT-enabled, fully automated solution, Haier India has installed washing machines that can be remotely managed by students through the Mr. Hi App. They can use their mobile phones to reserve, monitor, schedule, and pay at their convenience. The app offers a straightforward approach to intelligent washing in just a few easy steps. The users need to download the app onto their mobile devices, followed by creating a profile with basic information. Once the profile is updated, the next step involves locating nearby laundry facilities and selecting a washing machine. Subsequently, users book a time slot and enter the unique code provided through the app. Finally, users conveniently pay for the service using Paytm e-wallets or Debit/Credit cards and initiate the washing cycle by pressing the ‘start’ button. Upon completion of the cycle, users receive an alert on their phones prompting them to retrieve their clothes. Instead of walking up to the washing machine, students can now easily get an update with the push of a button on their phones. This way they can keep a tab on their laundry while carrying on with their work. They can also set easy reminders regarding their washing schedule.
